Trailer:

plot:

I can't describe the elation I felt leaving Spring Breakers--truly one of the best films to hit mainstream cinemas in a long time. It was a breath of fresh air amidst all the cookie cutter romantic comedies, dramas, action films, and horror movies that plague modern cinema. The stamp of a good film is the impact factor--how long it stays with you when it's over. Spring Breakers was a film that stayed with me long after leaving the theater. It didn't evaporate from my mind as soon as I hit the parking lot. This film affects you and leaves you in a mood long after the credits appear.

Those seeking a fun "party film" will be disappointed. The TV ads, poster, and cast have probably misled some viewers into thinking this is a cross between The Hangover and Project X. Don't let the cast or the marketing fool you--this is not a "feel good" movie. It's a dark, exciting, tragic look at modern youth culture that doesn't so much as revel in the pop culture sensory overload as hold up a mirror to the audience so we can see some of ourselves in these kids. And if you're like me, you'll find this kind of self-reflection very disturbing. More than once, I was disgusted and enthralled with these characters, not knowing whether I should feel amused, angry, or sad. This is truly the best deconstruction of modern culture I've seen.

The movie starts with our main quartet of female characters struggling to find a way around the fact they don't have enough money to travel to Florida for that much-hyped, almost mythical annual rite of passage nearly every college kid in the country has to face at some point: spring break. Selena Gomez is easily the most likable member of the cast--a young girl struggling to balance her Christian faith and values in the moral wasteland that is college life. One moment we see her praying in church, and the next she's passively condoning the fact that her friends have just robbed a restaurant in order to obtain the rest of the money they need to make it to Florida. In one poignant monologue, she speaks of the monotony of life and how everyone is depressed because they wake up and see the same things every day. Her desire to go on spring break is almost spiritual in nature--a soul-searching journey in which she just wants to be someone new and be free.

But as the plan begins to unravel, Deane finds he is falling in love with the rodeo queen, ensuing further complications.

plot:

Liked this feel good surprisingly funny art caper comedy set in London. The stars are good and the dialog is cute. Colin Firth plays a man working for an unbearable boss (Alan Rickman) and devises a scheme to get back at him involving a forger Monet and a Rodeo queen. Cameron Diaz still has her stunning figure but her face is looking a bit older. Her Texan accent and hillbilly character are charming enough and not over the top. Colin Firth is suitably fumbling in this comic role - I haven't seen the original 60s version but I think Michael Caine would have been a bit irritating. Stanley Tucci has an amusing supporting role.

The screenplay is more hit than miss. There are quite a few surprising jokes and laugh out loud moments throughout. The dialog is sharp and worth listening carefully to. There are unfortunately some jokes that fall flat especially in the hotel. Coen Brothers surprisingly can do a good comic caper script.

The night before his big medical school interview, a promising student celebrates his 21st birthday with his two best friends.

Type : MKV / Quality : High HD / Size 355 MB / language

Storyline:

When Straight-A college student Jeff Chang's two best friends take him out for his 21st birthday on the night before an important medical school interview, what was supposed to be a quick beer becomes a night of humiliation, over indulgence and utter debauchery. Written by Relativity

Trailer:

plot:

"From the writers of 'The Hangover'" comes "21 and Over," another comedy about people getting really drunk and then having a bunch of crude and insane things happen to them. The difference here is that the three leads are not trying to find their buddy; they're instead trying to find their buddy's house. Oh, and the buddy whose house they're trying to find has passed out and has to be carried from place to place as the circumstances around them continue to get more dire.

Let's back up a bit. It's Jeff Chang's (Justin Chon) 21st birthday. He's a pre-med student who has a big interview the next morning. His best friends, Miller (Miles Teller) and Casey (Skylar Astin), have come to his apartment to surprise him and take him out for drinks, as is the American custom. Upon learning that the biggest interview of his life is the next day, Casey does the responsible thing and says that those plans can be postponed. Miller threatens to keep Jeff Chang up all night if he doesn't come out. "One drink," we're told. Like that's going to happen.

We don't even see Jeff Chang resist the party once it starts. He's loaded by the time we've zoomed forward in time, and only gets worse over the montage depicting the group's bar-hopping. Eventually, he's passed out and time is running out to get him home and to bed. The other two friends are from out of town -- they've all separated once college started, I guess -- so they don't know their way around. They spend nearly the rest of the film attempting to get him into bed before 7AM.

Doesn't this sound familiar? Three guys trolling around a certain location in hopes of finding something, or someone? While doing so, they find themselves in a bunch of "I can't believe it" situations, while also learning things about the others that perhaps should have been better left a secret. When Casey and Miller find a gun in Jeff Chang's pocket, and later learn that he was arrested by the police, we have a mystery on our hands. One whose conclusion is mishandled so badly that I thought there must have been an alternate ending.

It feels too similar, I suppose. We've seen movies that contain situations more shocking than this. When a guy gets run over by a buffalo -- which we don't actually get to see, by the way, because the camera cuts to black before impact -- that winds up being one of the more "crazy" points of the film. Sure, a couple of other moments are funny at the time, if only because at least one of the guys -- Casey -- doesn't seem like he deserved to be put through them, but they're kind of bland for the genre.

Trailer:

plot:

First of all: This is a low-budget movie and should be treated as such. If you're expecting state of the art CGI and explosions everywhere this might not be the film for you. If you're like me on the other hand then this might be exactly what you're looking for. The good thing about this movie, and a lot of other low-budget sci-fi, is that they aren't forced to do the usual "handsome guy falls in love while saving the world"-story. If you enjoyed movies like Solaris or Sunshine and aren't overly concerned with CGI then give this one a try. Don't get me wrong, just because the CGI isn't as good as you might be used to from a big budget movie doesn't mean this film looks in any way bad. The effects are actually pretty good for this type of film and the set is well made. Special mention goes to Sidney Leeder and the lead actress Jeananne Goossen. They both did a great job.

Boyhood (I) (2014)

Description:

The life of a young man, Mason, from age 5 to age 18.

Director: Richard Linklater

Writer: Richard Linklater

Stars: Ellar Coltrane, Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke | See full cast and crew »

Type : MKV / Quality : High HD / Size : 733 MB / language

  Storyline:

Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater's BOYHOOD is a groundbreaking story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (a breakthrough performance by Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before our eyes. Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason's parents and newcomer Lorelei Linklater as his sister Samantha, BOYHOOD charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before. Snapshots of adolescence from road trips and family dinners to birthdays and graduations and all the moments in between become transcendent, set to a soundtrack spanning the years from Coldplay's Yellow to Arcade Fire's Deep Blue. BOYHOOD is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting. Written by IFC Films

Trailer:

plot:

There is something people should know before watching this movie, and that is that it takes place from 2002 to 2014. I grew up in that same generation, so as I watched this movie I felt like I was growing up all over again seeing the references to pop culture, society, politics, middle school, high school, and technology. It was incredible to experience that. And even for those who weren't children growing up in those 12 years will still feel a sense of going back in time. There was not one moment that I thought wasn't needed. In fact, I and the rest of the audience wished there had been more going on.

The plot is very simple: what does it mean to grow up, become an adult, and live? And as the years go by, it becomes apparent that Mason (the main character) is struggling to find his place in life. Though there are a few struggles he encounters and some thematic material, overall the movie is hilarious and real. From Richard Linklater's previous films, I've noticed that the dialogue all feels real (to a point where I feel like I'm interacting with the characters). And it is so well done in this film.

Speaking of Linklater, I see an Oscar nomination for directing coming his way. As he sat down for Q&A on Boyhood, one of the things he said that struck the audience was that he thought it was funny that people who saw "Boyhood" told him he improved as a director. This was funny to him because one of the first rules he made before filming in 2002 was that he could not change as a director for the sake of the movie to have no continuity errors (especially so the tone didn't change). The only improvement going on is the superb acting from Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette, and (of course) Ellar Coltrane.

With probably the best ending I've ever seen for a movie and a story guided by a talented director, "Boyhood" is the most powerful and unique coming-of-age film ever made and it will be proclaimed as a classic for the years to come.

Grace (I) (2014)

Description:

Grace is an 18-year-old Catholic girl whose purity is overtaken by a demonic force. Will it consume her?

Director: Jeff Chan

Writers: Jeff Chan (screenplay), Chris Pare (screenplay), 3 more credits »

Stars: Alexia Fast, Daniel Arnold, Madeleine Arthur | See full cast and crew »

Type : MKV / Quality : High HD / Size : 763 MB / language

Storyline:

As Grace heads off to college and experiences a lifestyle far different than the one she had brought up under her grandmother's strict hand, she begins a traumatic downward spiral that threatens her sanity. The more she explores the true nature of her nightmares and black outs, the more it becomes clear that an outside, supernatural force is responsible.

  Trailer:

plot:

I was really pleasantly surprised. The first-person POV is well done, the cast can act, the story is complete, and there isn't a single wasted moment.

What may turn some potential viewers off is that this movie is also Lifetime-channel-ready, as there is no gore or nudity (at least in the version I saw), which normally would be fine for me, because I don't need the typical tacky tropes of horror movies to be able to enjoy a horror movie.

However, in this case, the lack of nudity and gore is actually too safe and too tame, as it detracts from the movie's overall impact, especially with the back story glimpses and progressive changes in the lead character, but that's hardly a reason to stay away. And there must be the inevitable director's cut available sooner or later...

plot:

I only watched part of this film & started losing interest immediately

if you like movies similar to Blair Witch with camera footage and paper thin acting then this is for you...

I see no point in writing all about the film itself, only to say if you have some time on your hands and want to be even more bored then watch this movie..

You might as well watch " Finding Bigfoot" TV Series if you like monster hunts..

I personally get bored of all these films that are based on lost footage...

Each to their own..

plot:

Lars Von Trier's promises were Easier Said Than Done!. In this movie he concentrates on exhibitionism, masturbation, explicit scenes of erect black penises, nudity, voyeurism including a hairy vagina and a clitoris. Also Lars overused the oral sex scene from a man to a woman twice deluding us that X-rated pornography serves his pretentious fake art!. Don't expect a good drama in a porno trash movie which used to be a 4 hour Porno movie!.If you like sexual depravity and boredom you are gonna find them in this movie.Believe me the movie has no story and is without any plot, theme and drama. As for the movie's end it is truly unjustifiable.

plot:

Poof, people just disappear??? Walked out 40 minutes into this wreck. Such poor acting, bad story line and just boring. So people disappear to Heaven if they believe in it? Left early, but guessed the ending. Cage has never been a strong actor but decent. This is the worst movie first time I've ever gotten a refund. The best worst part (good wording right?) was when all the people just disappear and their clothes are perfectly placed in the seats of the airplane. Then all the passengers are asking the pilot (Cage) what's going on, I don't understand and start getting angry at him. The lame reported starts taking pictures while asking stupid questions. Sooooo bad, stay home and clean the cat box, you'll have more fun!
